Cancellation & Refund Policy
At JaldiRide, we value our commuters and strive to provide a reliable and flexible shuttle booking experience. We also recognize that travel plans can change unexpectedly. This Cancellation & Refund Policy has been designed to ensure transparency, fairness, and trust while maintaining the operational efficiency required to run our scheduled bus shuttle services across Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
By booking a ride, daily pass, weekly pass, or monthly pass with JaldiRide, you agree to the terms outlined below.
Ticket & Pass Cancellation
JaldiRide offers different types of passes to suit the varied commuting needs of professionals. The cancellation terms differ for each pass type:
Daily Passes
- A daily pass may be canceled through the JaldiRide mobile application before the scheduled departure time of the shuttle.
- Once the scheduled time has passed, the ticket becomes non-cancellable and non-refundable.
Weekly Passes
- A weekly pass can be canceled before the first scheduled ride date.
- If the pass has already been activated and even one ride is used, no partial refund will be issued for unused days.
Monthly Passes
- A monthly pass may be canceled before the commencement of the first ride.
- Once activated, monthly passes are valid for their duration and cannot be refunded in part, even if the user chooses not to travel on certain days.
Ongoing Rides
- Cancellations are strictly not allowed after the shuttle has departed from the pickup point.
These policies ensure operational efficiency, as each booked seat directly affects vehicle allocation and scheduling.
Refunds & Wallet Credits
To simplify and speed up the refund process, JaldiRide uses a Wallet Credit System within the app:
- Upon cancellation, the eligible refund amount will be credited only to the commuter’s JaldiRide Wallet inside the app.
- Wallet credits can be used for purchasing any future passes (daily, weekly, or monthly).
- Refunds will not be processed back to the original payment method (bank account, UPI, debit/credit card, or net banking).
- Wallet credits remain active for the lifetime of the user account and do not expire as long as the account remains in good standing.
This policy ensures commuters always have immediate access to their funds for rebooking without delays commonly associated with banking transactions.
Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds or wallet credits will not be issued under the following circumstances:
- No-Show: If a commuter fails to board the shuttle despite holding a valid booking.
- Late Cancellations: Any cancellation attempts made after the shuttle has already departed.
- Policy Violations: Misuse of passes, fraudulent bookings, or any breach of JaldiRide’s Terms of Service.
- Third-Party Issues: JaldiRide is not responsible for delays caused by external factors such as heavy traffic, weather disruptions, or city regulations.
Service Cancellations by JaldiRide
While we take every effort to ensure uninterrupted services, there may be rare occasions when JaldiRide needs to cancel a ride due to:
- Operational Reasons: Technical issues, staff unavailability, or scheduling constraints.
- Safety Concerns: Weather advisories, road blockages, or unforeseen emergencies.
In such cases:
- The entire fare amount will be refunded as Wallet Credits in the commuter’s JaldiRide Wallet.
- Commuters will be notified immediately through SMS, app notifications, and/or email.
- JaldiRide is not liable for indirect losses, such as missed work commitments, arising from cancellations.
Refund Timelines
- Wallet credits are typically reflected within 48 hours of cancellation approval.
- In rare cases, due to system or technical delays, processing may take longer. If so, commuters will be informed proactively.
- Refund status can be tracked through the “My Wallet” section in the JaldiRide mobile app.
Dispute Resolution
JaldiRide encourages commuters to reach out promptly in case of concerns:
- All disputes related to cancellations or refunds must be reported to hello@jaldiride.com within 7 working days of the transaction.
- Each case will be carefully reviewed by our customer support team.
- A resolution will be provided within 10 working days, and users will be updated on the outcome via email or app notification.
Policy Updates
- This Cancellation & Refund Policy may be revised from time to time based on service improvements, operational changes, or regulatory requirements.
- Commuters will be notified of any major updates via app notifications, email communication, or announcements on our official website.
- Continued use of JaldiRide after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
